Stevie Nicks: “I never in a million years expected success to happen to me."
“I never in a million years expected [success] to happen to me,” Stevie Nicks told Interview magazine in 1997.
“I had been a cleaning lady,” she told The Island Ear magazine in 1994. “I worked at the [restaurants] Copper Penny, Clementine’s, and Bob’s Big Boy.”
“Lindsey thought it would be selling out for him to work at a restaurant like that,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 1997. “So I did.”
“I took typing and shorthand,” she explained in Interview magazine. “I went to five years of college, and I quit. I moved to Los Angeles with Lindsey, which was totally unacceptable to my entire family. Not only was I living with somebody, but I quit school.
“‘What are you gonna do?,’ [my parents asked.] ‘Be in the circus for the rest of your life?’”
Well, you know,...she kind of was.
