Between Picking an Artist and Stepping on Stage

Someday there will be a blog post about how a Great Moments in Vinyl show goes from one band member’s bright idea to a stage full of musicians taking their final bow. There are a lot of steps involved as you might imagine. And one of the earliest of them all just took place for a show we’re planning to put together toward the end of summer. You can’t pay tribute to Dolly Parton without knowing how her songs go. And one of the easiest ways to climb aboard that train is to pick up a book of her music.

Now to figure out what to do next to bring this show to the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Friday, August 19th.
