Finally! That Rush tribute we were going to do...in 2020!

A lot of great ideas got postponed for a lot of people when COVID came to town. One of ours was a tribute to the Canadian rock trio Rush. The plan was to build the show around one of their most popular albums, Moving Pictures, and fill out the night with additional tracks from their earlier releases. Since the pandemic shut us down in 2020, we did the next best thing and recorded a 20 minute streaming concert on the stage of the venue where we had been booked, Martyrs’. (You can locate that video by scrolling down to the Streams window on the website home page.) But now, we’re pleased to announce that we’re able to bring you this show for real!

Look for us onstage at Martyrs’ on Friday, July 8th. Featuring several GMiV regulars: Judith Weirauch on vocals, Jarrett Donoghue on guitars, and Jonathan Reed on dozens of drums with newcomer to GMiV (but not to Rush) Walter Kiefer on bass and keyboards, and as always William Lindsey Cochran telling the stories behind the songs.
