When Great Moments in Vinyl takes the stage, we typically invite our fans to remember a particular album with us.  But for our next concert, we’re actually going to reminisce about the music from an entire year!  

Let’s not overlook some of the memorable music that came from African-American artists in 1973.

AM stations may still have been king with their Top 40 formats, but around the country FM stations were catering to an growing audience that craved the new format known as AOR, album oriented rock.
